I have the same problem as Sydney417. I have no 'download' option from the Action Log. Only the 'Download and Install' which fails every time.

No problem, that's what we do here. 🙂
Download this file and save it somewhere so its easy to find, like your desktop.
Once you have it, double click on it to run.
Windows will ask... Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?
Click on Yes.
The install shield will open. Click Next.
Accept the terms and click Next.
It will ask about the default location, just leave it as is and click Next .
You will probably get a warning saying... The following is already on your computer:
Click Yes to All.
A window will open with the option to Remove all installed features.
Tick the circle next to it to select and click Next.
A window will pop up saying... Do you want to to completely remove the application...
Click Yes
Then click Yes I want to restart my computer.
Once the PC has restarted...
Go to This PC and open the Windows (C) drive.
Open the folder called SWSetup.
Open the folder called sp80439.
Scroll down and double click on a file called setup.
Go thru the same steps as before of giving it permission to run.
The install shield wizard opens so click Next.
Tick the circle for Complete installation.
Next.
Install.
Finish.
You're all done.

Hello @BB1966
I found the other thread you are referring to. Tell me the Product Number of your PC, so I can give you the download and instructions.
TIP: The P/N is on the bottom of that HP Assistant you were using to update with.
