hi @Jerry_57

My laptop is suffering from stuttering randomly within 1-2 hours of running. I did find out some tips to stop the stuttering things. But it has somethings to do with HP One Agent service, unfortunately it's not visible on my device.

Here is my laptop specs:
1. Device type: Laptop
2. Operating System: Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC
3. Product model: HP Victus By HP Laptop 16-e0xxx

Hope this would reach your help.
Have a nice day.

Hi @KenOwnVictus16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

For addressing random stuttering issues on your HP Victus laptop, it is important to ensure optimal performance settings and configurations. However, your mention of the "HP One Agent service" might be related to the system performance and monitoring tools provided by HP, potentially the HP Support Assistant software.

Here's how you can potentially resolve the stuttering issues:

Steps to Address Stuttering Issues:

Update Drivers: Ensure all your device drivers, especially the graphics and chipset drivers, are updated to the latest version. This can be done through the Device Manager or using the HP Support Assistant. Official HP® Support.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Install HP Support Assistant if it’s not already on your device. This software helps in updating drivers and providing diagnostics for better performance.

  • It can perform system scans and provide recommendations to enhance the device's performance. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support.

Check for Background Processes:

  • Use the Task Manager to check for any unnecessary processes that might be consuming high CPU or memory, which could lead to stuttering.

HP System Diagnostics:

  • Run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool. Restart your device, press the "Esc" key repeatedly until the "Startup Menu" opens, and select "F2" to run diagnostics.

Check Power Settings:

  • Ensure that your power plan is set to "High performance" to give priority to system performance over energy saving.

Clean Boot:

  • Perform a clean boot to see if any third-party applications could be causing the issue. For this, type "msconfig" in the Windows search box, go to the "Services" tab, disable all non-Microsoft services, and restart your laptop.

Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC is up to date with the latest patches from Microsoft.

    I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Jerry_57

Thanks for helping me out with these tips.
I have downloaded the HP support app and run some scans, it said that my device doesnt have any problems.
All drivers, Win version all also up to dated.
I dont think there are some applications eating the ram, sometimes it stutters even on desktop screen (I felt  lagging moving the mouse though there was no audio).
The clean boot was done, also the System Diagnostics test (Start temperature is 63C, End temp is 98C)

Ive been using for a few days and the micro stuttering still there.
Hope there'd be other ways to fix this problem.

Have a nice day.

Hi @KenOwnVictus16,

Thank you for your response.

It sounds like you're experiencing performance issues despite running diagnostics and ensuring everything is up-to-date. Here are a few other steps you can take to potentially address these issues:

Overheating Concerns

Check for Dust Accumulation: Overheating may cause the system to slow down or stutter. Ensure there is no dust blocking the vents or fans by cleaning them with compressed air.

Cooling Solutions: Consider improving the cooling in your PC with additional cooling fans or a laptop cooling pad if it's a laptop.

Performance Tips

Registry and Background Services: Occasionally, unused background services or registry entries can cause slowdowns. Tools like HP Support Assistant can perform maintenance, but specialised cleanup tools can sometimes help to remove unnecessary background programs more thoroughly.

RAM Upgrade: If your system supports a higher amount of RAM, consider upgrading it. More RAM can help manage extensive video or graphics applications more efficiently.

Power Settings: Ensure your power settings are set to 'High Performance,' as power saver modes can throttle performance.

Hardware Examination

Hard Drive Health: Check the health of your hard drive. If it's older or has bad sectors, it might be time to consider replacing it. An SSD can significantly improve performance.

Battery Health (if applicable): If you're using a laptop, ensure the battery is functioning well, as poor battery health can sometimes lead to performance throttling.

Software Updates

  • BIOS Update: Check if there's an update available for your system's BIOS. Sometimes a BIOS update can resolve hardware compatibility issues. Official HP® Support.
