HP EliteBook 865 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8T644AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

The software stopped working after upgrading Windows 11 25H2. It did open, complain about some internal registers etc, ask me to give the error to support if it persists, then closed down automatically.

After double checking drivers for the built-in webcam (Logitech c210), I uninstalled the Poly Camera Pro software intending to re-install it from the HP app as documented. Once deleted, the HP app no longer shows the "Video" icon, which is the documented way to re-install it.

Can anyone help to re-install it? i.e. where do I get this software from again? It is licenced with the laptop and does not appear in the Microsoft Store...

Thanks.

If your software has stopped working after upgrading to Windows 11 25H2 on your HP EliteBook 865 16-inch G11 Notebook PC, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Compatibility Check:

    • Verify if the software is compatible with Windows 11 25H2. Check the software manufacturer's website for any updates or patches specifically addressing compatibility with the latest Windows version.
  2. Update Drivers:

    • Ensure that all your system drivers, especially those related to graphics and chipset, are up to date.
  3. Run in Compatibility Mode:

    • Right-click on the software’s shortcut or executable file, select 'Properties', go to the 'Compatibility' tab, and then try running the program in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows.
  4. Check for Software Updates:

    • Some software may require updates to function correctly on new operating system versions. Check for any available updates from the software provider.
  5. Event Viewer:

    • Open the Windows Event Viewer to check for specific error logs related to the software. This can provide more detailed information about which internal registers or components might be causing the issue.
  6. Reinstallation:

    • Consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the software. Sometimes, a fresh installation can resolve any conflicts or corrupted files that may have occurred during the upgrade.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
