I have a similar issue. Different laptop. I am getting the message: "this pc can't be upgraded to this version of Windows. Your pc is not supported yet on this version of windows. Windows update will automatically offer you this version of Windows once the issue has been resolved." Microsoft support says the computer is not compatible and probably needs a hardware upgrade. Suggested I see a local technician. Surely not worth doing but just checking to see if there are any other options. my model number 14-dq0033dx

According to the Microsoft W11 processor list, the Intel Celeron N4020 processor is fully supported to run W11.
Windows processor requirements Windows 11 supported Intel processors | Microsoft Learn
The parts list for your notebook indicates it comes with 4 GB of memory (not ideal but meets the W11 hardware requirements).
The Windows 11 24H2 hardware requirements include a 1GHz 2-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB SSD, TPM 2.0, and Secure Boot.
The only upgrade you can do to your notebook would be to replace the 4 GB memory chip with an 8 GB memory chip as there is only one memory slot. Everything else is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to follow the guidance in the video below to do an in-place upgrade from your current version of Windows 11 to the latest one.
It's for PC's that don't meet the W11 hardware requirements but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work to get past that message you are getting.
How to Install Windows 11 on Unsupported PC in 2025 (New Easiest Method, No CMD)
Download the W24H2 ISO file and use that (3rd option).
You can download the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below. The top line is for 64 bit.
If things don't work right on W11 24H2, you have 10 days to easily go back to W10 as long as you don't delete the W1 upgrade files or the Windows.old folder.

Thank you Paul. I will dig into what you suggest but just wanted to clarify one point. The computer came with Windows 11 preinstalled, not Windows 10 so my assumption is that it should be fully compatible with 11. I think "going back" to 10 would not be an option. Because of the limited hard drive space I actually did a full reset to bring the system back to the original configuration making sure I had plenty of room for the upgrade. I don't store much on the computer so the reset was not a big deal as I just lost some apps I don't really need. Microsoft helped with downloading the ISO file but when we run it we get the error message. I will see if your video offers any other suggestions.

You're very welcome.
You will be using that video to update your current version of W11 to 24H2.
If things don't work right on W11 24H2, you can easily go back to your current version of W11 by following the guidance in that second video I posted.
While the video is for W10, it works the same way for W11.
