HP Pavillion Notebook-17-g015d
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My bluetooth isn't working. According to HP support I have the latest driver installed. It doesn't show up in Device Manager either. What I have installed is Realtek RTL8723BE Bluetooth Driver - 4.0.100.1124. Should I just uninstall it and download another bluetooth driver from someplace else?

Hi,

Welcome to HP Support Forum. I could not find HP Pavillion Notebook-17-g015d but HP Pavilion Notebook-17-g015dx.

     http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04684394

Is that your machine ? It does NOT have built-in Bluetooth (BT) therefore BT driver (any) won't work. Please try the following option

            http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/targus-bluetooth-4-0-usb-adaptor-taacb75au

There are many brands and models around, cheaper too.

Regards.

First of all, you're right about the computer model- my bad. Thank you so much for telling me that indeed there is no Bluetooth on this model. It was driving me nuts trying to figure out why it wouldn't work! And thank you for the link too.
