New laptop (windows 10 office 10). Old printer.
HP Support Assistant tells me I have 5 recommended updates for the laptop.
But they won't load. Left it working on it for 6 hours. Still no progress! Help.
This is in an effort to get my HP Deskjet printer to work properly instead of missing randomly selected text (especially in Excel)
No updates needed for the printer according to Support Assistant.

@Lesia1, welcome to the forum.
The first thing that I would try is delete HPSA and reinstall the latest version here. I have seen this solve many problems with HPSA.
For future reference, when requesting help you should always include the make/model (i.e. p6-xxxx) of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

Thank you for the additional information, @Lesia1.
Yes, unless one of them is a BIOS update. Then, you should use caution. Otherwise, I suggest that you install them one at a time. If there is a problem you will know which update caused the problem and you can delete it.
