HP Spectre 13-v011dx

Hello, My wireless adapter (Intel Dual-Band Wireless Adapter AC-8260) in my laptop turned off and would not reactivate. I tried many solutions, including rebooting my laptop, and using the network reset option to reset my drivers. I later found a solution online to fix that problem that might work. However, by that point I had already tried another solution which recommended uninstalling the device in device manager, saying that it would automatically rollback to the previous version upon a system reboot. This did not occur.

My question is: how can I reinstall my wireless adapter driver? I have downloaded it several times from the Intel website, but nothing has changed when that happens. I am currently accessing the internet through a USB adapter, but would prefer to use my built-in wifi support.

I understand that you are looking for the wireless drivers for HP Spectre 13-V011dx.

 

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

 

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

 

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 
  2. Check for updates. 
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
