He also doesn't know what he's talking about, which aligns with my thoughts as to how this happened in the first place.
booking.com is not an in-built windows App. I've had to install a lot of windows 10 recently and it certainly isn't part of the W10 straight from MS.
All we want to do is remove this piece of bloatware from our machines HP!
Please note that I do not give a rat's a55 if it's secure.
I was wrong before: it's nearly 3 months, not 2, I've been waiting for someone to contact me.
Looks like this is the last HP machine I'll be buying.

Ok I've sorted it myself. I'm a software engineer but am not familiar with win 10 yet just getting rid of this bloatware.
If you right click and go to more - file location
You will find the icon.
The properties are - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\Shared\WizLink.exe" http://www.booking.com/index.html?aid=398438&label=square
WizLink.exe runs the link to booking.com
You can just delete the icon from the folder - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and its's removed from the startmenu.
This is what I wanted to do. Now WizLink.exe hope it's not doing any more damage.
Hope this helps.

Right-click the Booking.com icon in your Start menu and choose Open file location. A dialog will appear, with Booking.com highlighted among a list of your other Start menu apps and shortcuts. Delete the Booking.com shortcut here and it disappears for good in your Start menu.

I have just managed to delete this irritating App. I right-clicked on it, pressed More, then chose Open File Location.
This opened up a box with lists, including Booking.com, which I deleted in the usual way.
I have checked and it has really gone.
Hope this works for you too,

Thanks for this, I've been trying to get rid of this nonesense for days, the usual tricks didn't work, you saved me a lot of worry, I don't like having apps or programmes installed that I will never want or use.
