HP Recommended

I have my brothers HP Pavilion. He does not remember his PIN to log in. And no longer has access too recovering. How can I reset computer without logging in. I have tried the F11 during start up and clocked troubleshoot to reset PC, but this just tells me there was a problem and unable to reset. Any other ideas?
