Hi @AndreasValiant2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Since your HP Victus 15-fa0000 started showing GPU artifacts after a BIOS update, and you confirmed that the glitches appear after 65°C, a BIOS rollback is a solid troubleshooting step.
Let’s go step-by-step to help you safely roll back your BIOS.
Option 1: Use HP BIOS Recovery Tool (Preferred)
- Turn off your laptop.
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
- Release the Power button but keep holding Windows + B until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
- If available, select Rollback BIOS or Previous BIOS Version.
If this screen doesn’t appear, proceed to Option 2.
Option 2: Manually Flash an Older BIOS
- Go to the official HP support page for your model: 📎 Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- Scroll down to BIOS section.
- Download an older version (e.g., F.04 or earlier).
- Insert a USB flash drive (FAT32 formatted).
- Run the downloaded BIOS file and choose to create a recovery USB.
- Plug the USB into your laptop and repeat the Windows + B + Power method to boot into recovery.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the older BIOS.
Option 3: Reset BIOS Settings
If rollback isn’t possible:
- Restart your laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
- Look for Restore Defaults or Load Optimized Defaults.
- Save and exit.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
