I recently got my new HP Envy x360 with Windows 11 (x64) on it on 6/9/22. I use the SD Card reader extensively. Everything was working fine until 6/17/22 when a windows update knocked out the driver and the SD card reader is missing and does not work. FYI (2022-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5014697) and 2022-06 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 11 for x64 (KB5013889)) were added. I accessed HP Troubleshooting and diagnostics and Community - which it led me to 'try and update the drivers via Device Manager in the Memory Technology Devices / Realtek PCIE CardReader. So far I have tried installing the following NON-WORKING downloaded drivers from the SWSetup directory and its subfolders: SP86763, SP112198, SP121432, SP137206, SP138818.
After updating the drivers respectfully and restarting, the SD Card reader is still not detectable nor functioning after restart. ANYONE have any recommendations to help resolve the SD Card Reader issue?

Hello Dano_Z2020,
(1) Update BIOS
HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors) | F.04 Rev.A | 9.8 MB | Mar 10, 2022 | Download |
(2) Update card reader driver
Realtek Card Reader Driver | 10.0.22000.21353 Rev.A | 2.7 MB | Jan 25, 2022 | Download |
(3) Test your card reader again ...
Here you will find all software and drivers for your notebook with windows 11 operating system:
Please report your results.
best regards
