Hi:
Every 850 G5 notebook has a sim card slot.
What 90% of them don't have is the optional and expensive mobile broadband (WWAN) card that is needed to connect to the cellular network.
The SIM card just authorizes you to use a specific carrier's network.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.
In order to connect to a cellular network your notebook must have one of these model WWAN adapters listed there:
LTE CAT4: Huawei HP lt4132,
LTE CAT9: Fibocom Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced
If you don't see either one of the above model cards listed there, then you won't be able to use your SIM card in the notebook.
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers and/or email addresses on the community.
