hi I'm having a problem with my laptop which when it is in acryc the performance of the processor drops drastically (not connected to the current it has a speed of 1.39 GHz instead when connected to the current it has a speed of 0.38) I assumed it was the charger (not original) and before buying it new or even sending it to a technician I know, have an opinion, thanks

Hi @Tonsi-_-,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why the processor on your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Ec1000 laptop slows down when the laptop is charging. Here are some possible causes and solutions.
- Power settings: Check your power settings and make sure that they are set to "high performance" mode. In some cases, laptops will automatically switch to a power-saving mode when they are charging, which can slow down the processor. To change the power settings, go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose a Power Plan.
- Thermal throttling: When a laptop is charging, it generates heat, which can cause the processor to slow down to prevent damage from overheating. This is known as thermal throttling. You can monitor the temperature of your laptop using software such as HWMonitor or Core Temp. If the temperature is getting too high, try using a laptop cooling pad or cleaning the laptop's fans and vents to improve airflow.
- Background processes: Check to see if there are any programs running in the background that could be using up CPU resources. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager and see which programs are using the most CPU. You can close any unnecessary programs to free up resources.
- Malware or virus: Sometimes malware or a virus can cause a laptop to slow down. Run a virus scan using your antivirus software to make sure your system is clean.
- Hardware issue: If none of the above solutions work, it could be a hardware issue. A faulty battery or power adapter could cause the laptop to slow down when charging. Try using a different power adapter or removing the battery to see if that makes a difference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
