My fingerprint driver was not showing in Device Manager and Windows Hello was subsequently not working. There were multiples unknown devices and PCI devices not working under the 'Other devices' tab in Device Manager. I tried every possible troubleshooting method online but nothing worked, including installing the fingerprint driver directly from the HP website. I later found a solution.

 

I decided to look properly through Windows Update. Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates > Driver Updates. I installed all the driver updates here and my fingerprint sensor automatically appeared again. Also, all the unknown devices were gone. Hopefully someone else gets their issue fixed with this method.
