Solved!

Scanned and downloaded a document as .pdf but is saving to desktop as a Wordpad format

HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scanned and downloaded a document as .pdf but is saving to desktop as a Wordpad format. Does Adobe need to be installed on this machine to call up pdf files? Thanks

Are they *.pdf files ? There are many apps you can use to read *.pdf files, normally we use Adobe pdf reader but you has to assign pdf reader as default otherwise Windows will use a different app (in this case Wordpad). Please use the following Guide
