@greenms, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Laser jet pro nap m477fnw.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

To change the email settings for the scanner on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):

    • Connect to the same network as your printer.
    • Find your printer’s IP address by printing a configuration report from the printer's control panel.
    • Enter this IP address into a web browser to access the Embedded Web Server.
  2. Log in to the EWS:

    • You may need administrative credentials to log in.
  3. Navigate to the Scan to Email Setup:

    • Click on the “Scan” tab.
    • Select “Scan to Email Setup.”
  4. Update Email Settings:

    • Click on “Outgoing Email Profiles.”
    • Select the existing profile you want to edit or create a new one.
    • Update the SMTP server settings, including the server address, port, and any authentication details required by your email service provider.
    • Adjust “Default From Address” and other settings as needed.
  5. Test the Setup:

    • Send a test email to ensure all settings are correctly configured.
  6. Finalize Changes:

    • Save your changes and log out of the Embedded Web Server.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
