Microsoft Windows 11

I bought a used HP ProBook 430 G8 with i7 1165G7 version, W11 23H2.

However, when I update the W10 and it upgrade to W11, I encounter an issue of two biometric W11 is not working which are facial and fingerprint recognition. Windows says "We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face" and respectively for the fingerprint is ".... couldn't find a fingerprint scanner ....."

Have tried to look at the device manager but there's no unknown hardware need a drivers, as well the biometric devices for fingerprint that I see in the online forum should be listed on the device manager are not there. Have tried to install the download the driver then later extracted to C:\SWSetup and try to manually update the device manager and choose the path there but there's nothing to update, so I believe everything is up to date. Camera is working fine, but the option for the W11 login also not available.

And, as I see at the manual that it has Intel Iris XE which should be support FHD 1920 x 1080 Px, but when I look at the screen resolution it only support maximum to HD 1333 x 768 Px. Have tried to install all the driver as well but none changed.

In summary I encounter 3 issues,

  1. Screen resolution only max to 1333 x 768 Px instead of 1920 x 1080
  2. Windows login of biometric not available
  3. Windows login of facial recognition not available

Any hint what to do would much be appreciate.

Thank you.

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c06955073

1. FingerPrint: HP Fingerprint Sensor (optional)  Did you BUY that option ?

2. IR camera: Again, did you buy  option (720p HD and IR Camera (sold separately or as an optional feature))

3. Resolution: Did you buy a right screen, there are many options for BOTH touch and non-touch ONLY screens only have (1366 x 768).

Regards.
