Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing some frustrating issues with my HP Pavilion 14 laptop, and I’m hoping to get some advice or suggestions from the community.
Laptop Specs:Model: HP Pavilion 14-dv0010wmProcessor: Intel i5 11th GenGraphics: Intel Xe Graphics (as per the original specification)Issue Description:
Initial Problem: I encountered a blue screen while gaming, followed by the laptop shutting down on its own.Troubleshooting Done:Diagnostics: Ran tests on the SSD (CrystalDiskInfo showed 98% health) and RAM (MemTest86 showed no errors), along with HP’s built-in diagnostics. Everything came back fine.
Reinstallation: I did a fresh install of Windows 10. However, upon installing the Intel Xe Graphics driver (latest WHQL certified), I began experiencing severe flickering. The system runs fine with the generic Microsoft display driver, but the issue reappears when I install any version of the Intel Xe Graphics driver.Driver Versions Tried: I’ve tried several versions, including the latest and older WHQL certified versions, as well as Intel DCH drivers. None seem to resolve the flickering issue.External Display: When connecting the laptop to a TV via HDMI, the flickering appears on both the TV and the laptop, suggesting it’s not just a display issue.
Current Situation:Flickering:
Persistent flickering occurs when using Intel Xe Graphics drivers.Shutdown Issue: The laptop also fails to shut down properly when using these drivers, requiring a manual shutdown.Request:HP Specific Driver: I tried accessing the Xe Graphics driver from HP’s support website by entering my laptop’s serial number, but it only offers the UHD Graphics driver. Given that my laptop originally came with Xe Graphics, I’m wondering how I can get the correct HP-optimized Xe Graphics driver.Community Advice: Has anyone else faced similar issues with Intel Xe Graphics? If so, how did you resolve it? Are there any particular driver versions or settings that worked for you?Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m on the verge of seeking professional repair, but I’d love to exhaust all software-related options first.Thank you!

You can check to see that your notebook has one of the hardware ID's highlighted in red by going to the device manager, click to expand the Display adapters device manager category, click on the Intel graphics adapter and see the link below for where to find the hardware ID;

So, you have tried the latest driver directly from the Intel site?
I'm surprised it didn't work properly.
