hi... when my laptop is connected to the ac i am not able to brighten or dim the screen, however when i run the laptop on battery power i'm able to brighten or dim the screen... please help....

Thank you for your inquiry, I will do my best to assist you!

 

I understand you are able to adjust the brightness of your display when on battery power, but not when you are connected to AC.

 

Have you ran  The HP Support Assistant to aid with HP updates and resolving issues?

 

Have you tried Using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 7) to help resolve this issue?

 

Here is a link to Resolving Problems with the Brightness of the Display to guide you through some troubleshooting steps.

do you have TeamViewer installed?  It could be the TeamViewer monitor driver causing your issue.  If you don't use the TeamViewer monitor driver or uninstall TeamViewer, it might fix your issue.  I found out about it here:
