Product: Compaq CQ58-301SL Notebook PC

Hello everybody,

I'm searching for the drivers for each specific component of my  very old notebook but I can't find them anywhere, including here in the HP support area.
Please can anybody help me finding them?
I'm using W8.1 because I think my notebook can't work properly with the newer versions of the OS (even if I've got a SSD and (8Gb of RAM).

First, on your phone, turn on mobile data for internet access. Connect the original USB cable from phone to HP laptop, then enable USB tethering in phone settings (Android: Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering; iPhone: Settings > Personal Hotspot). Windows 11 should detect it as a new Ethernet connection automatically. Now run windows update and its optional updates and it may install all required drivers.

HP retires support for all consumer class PC's that have reached 10 years of age.

 

This reputable 3rd party website has the drivers and software that HP used to provide when your notebook was in support:

 

HP Compaq CQ58-301SL drivers
