I dont know
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

My laptop is experiencing issues where the mouse will randomly move to a certain part of the screen and start clicking on things uncontrollably. I have been recommended to find any available software updates from HP to correct this.

The problem is, in order to find the appropriate updates, HP's support website wants my computer's serial number. It was on a sticker on the underside of my laptop, but from various reasons, the sticker has been warn down and most of it is illegible.

Is there any other place I can find my computer's serial number? Also, I do not have the box, nor do I know what specific HP notebook I have because that is not labeled on the computer as well.

Hi:

The serial number should also be listed on the system information screen in the BIOS.

To access the BIOS, turn on or restart the PC, tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.

Select the F10 setup option and press the enter key.

There should be a system information screen or setting and that should have the product number and serial number of your notebook listed as well as the model number.
