I was recently given a work laptop (HP Spectre 7th Gen). Great machine, however I have used a Mac all my life and now trying to set up my iCloud email  onto HP and I keep getting error message stating the following.
Something went wrong, We're sorry, but we were unable to do that. Error code: 0x80004005.
Note that when adding new "account" it gives me option of iCloud. Very confused and would like your support. Look forward to your replies. Thanks guys. Mike

Sorry, but since this is just a self-help Support Community staffed mostly by volunteers, we have no capability for debugging problems with third-party (i.e., non-HP) applications.
For help with iCloud problems, I suggest you start with this page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204283
If that is not sufficient, then you will have to contact Apple Support.
