I typically plug in my HP Omnibook Ultra to an HP doc, which is in turn connected to my workstation (monitor, mouse, keyboard). The setup works great, EXCEPT when plugged into the doc the battery is automatically charged via the thunderbolt 4 USB-C connection. I need the charging to stop at 80% to maintain good battery life. Is there a way to do this seamlessly?
I'll be plugging the laptop in and out of the workstation a few times a day so connecting the peripherals directly will be very frustrating. Any better solution would be greatly appreciated. Ideally it should be a "set it and forget it" solution with BIOS settings or software configurations.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Your PC does not have a battery charging limit setting.
Only some HP business class notebooks have that setting.
See the info at the link below for how to get the most life out of your notebook's battery:

As long as you don't leave the notebook plugged in 24/7/365 with the battery in a constant 100% charge state, you shouldn't experience any issues.
