I am trying to set up the icons on my startup screen on my laptop, but they keep combining into one. I want all of the icons the same. I don't want little ones inside of bigger ones. How do I keep this from happening?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums! I see from your post that you need assistance related to your HP notebook. Don't worry I'll be glad to assist you.
As you have mentioned in your post that you are trying to setup icons on your startup screen and they are combining instead of one by one. Please follow these instructions.
- Right-click or tap-and-hold on the taskbar. This is the bar that sits on the bottom of the screen, anchored by the Start button on the left and the clock on the far right.
- In Windows 10, click or tap Taskbar settings in the menu that pops up.
- A Window called Settings will open.
- Go into the Taskbar tab at the left or top of the window and then find the Taskbar buttons: option.
- For Windows 10 users, next to the Combine taskbar buttons option, click or tap the menu and choose Never. The change is saved automatically, so you can skip the final step below.
- Click or tap the OK or Apply button to confirm the changes.
I hope this should do the trick. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than glad to help you.
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
