usually, Shift key is mostly used in AutoCAD to quickly toggle from Ortho mode I using AutoCAD 2022 and the same version I used in other HP laptops, and its working good, rarely sometimes it won't work but if we reset AutoCAD settings to default then its works fine again. but here it was a brand new laptop and from the beginning, it was not working. for the brief, shift is working for deselecting lines but only not working for ortho mode. I searched many threads in the AutoDesk portal but nothing worked for me. someone told that it is happening in HP and a few Lenovo laptops. but my previous laptop is also HP so it is working fine. I also reset my PC again but still it's not working
and also in photoshop one shortcut is not working (Ctrl+alt+z) but instead, GeForce experience bar is opening.
is this because of the Geforce, shift key is not working in Autocad? (Geforce is considering Autocad as a game) it is automatically added in Geforce.
Please comment if anyone knows how to make it work. Thanks.

I've never shared my scripts, but I don't think you need to install anything. Just run the ACAD_ShiftOrtho.exe.
I also added it to the autorun using the Task Scheduler.
Please let me know whether it worked or not.
UPD: This script does not appear in the tray. It can only be stopped by the task manager.

Yes, for example, I keep ortho on. COPY command, Click start point, Move to second point, push shift to toggle ortho off, it doesn't toggle off. Shift works for toggling my trim/extend command, but not ortho.

Same problem with AutoCAD 2022 on two new HP Victus 16-e1085cl laptops.
Any thoughts/workarounds?
This really a huge problem for me. A lot of people encounter this issue (often HP owners) and there is no solution either from Autodesk or HP.

Thanks a lot RinceM, it solved my problem, I opened that file it doesn't show anything I tried five times (i thought it was not opened) but finally I checked in AutoCAD boom it's working.
Thanks for your efforts.
