Product: HP Spectre 15-df0013dx x360 Convertible Laptop
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Laptop has AMI F.41 BIOS installed and the support.hp.com website shows the current version is F.41 RevA. My question is should I upgrade the BIOS? I have been advised if the PC is working ok don't change the BIOS. I can't say my Laptop is working ok. It is new to me and seems very erratic. By that I mean scrolling doesn't work smoothly and sometimes runs to the bottom of the page. Also it seems if I position the cursor on an icon it executes the associated software even if I don't press the "button" om the touchpad.  It seems to be too sensitive. (I'm not sure that's what it's called. It's a Synaptics pad with no real buttons. A press on the lower left simulates pressing the left button and a press on the lower right simulates pressing the right button).  My question is should I upgrade the BIOS and will it fix my problems?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. ... An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance. The current BIOS do not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade. HP support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.
