Hi @AngelAniyah1999,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering an issue with changing app settings on your HP Notebook 14 due to a problem with Microsoft verification. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Verify Your Microsoft Account:
- Make sure you are logged into the correct Microsoft account. Sometimes, logging out and logging back in can resolve authentication issues.
- Check if your Microsoft account has any security alerts or issues that might be preventing you from making changes.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. Sometimes, updating Windows can resolve issues related to app settings and account verification.
Modify App Settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find the app you want to modify (the LeapFrog app in this case) and click on it. Choose Advanced options.
- Check if there’s an option to change permissions or settings related to verification.
Change App Installation Settings:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Choose where to get apps.
- Set the option to Anywhere instead of Microsoft Store only. This can help if the app isn't verified by Microsoft but is otherwise safe.
Check System Date and Time:
- Ensure that your system’s date and time settings are correct. Incorrect date and time can sometimes cause issues with account authentication.
Run the Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Run the troubleshooter for Windows Store Apps or any other relevant category.
Reinstall the App:
- If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the LeapFrog app.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
