I just bought a brand new HP Laptop 15s-eq2126nb (9F3Y5EA). After first installation I tried to adjust te mouse cursor speed but altough I can adjust the mouse speed slider, the mouse cursor stays at the same slow speed. Sliding the slider to minimum or maximum doesn't change a thing. I tried to update the mouse drivers but there are no new drivers available. Also tried to install the previous drivers but also no solution. Is there someone who has encountered the same problem or has a solution for that? I like the mouse cursor to move over the screen as fast as possible.
Thank you in advance

Hi @Lindoke,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
- After pressing a key, there is a short delay before the character is displayed on the screen. This might be caused by the Filter Keys function. Disable Filter Keys to return to the default keyboard behavior.
- In Windows 11, search for Accessibility, and then select Keyboard.
- In Windows 10, search for keyboard, and then select either Ease of Access keyboard settings or Change how your keyboard works.
- Disable the Use Filter Keys option.
- Clear the check box for Allow the shortcut key to start Filter Keys.
- The keys should be more responsive.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Rachel, thanks for your reply. The use of filter keys was turned off so that was not where the problem was. I solved it by changing the cursor slider speed on the touchpad settings screen. There are two cursor sliders available. One on the mouse settings screen and one on the touchpad settings screen. Changing the slider on the mouse settings screen doesn't do a thing. Changin the slider on the touchpad settings screen does the trick.
Kind greetings,
Marc
