Hi @Chinmay12,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Did you try to transfer different data instead of just one file?
Let's try these steps:
Install Windows Update and HP Support Assistant Updates:
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
For HP Support Assistant Updates:
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
- Click My Devices to see My PC. In this box, there are two options, Updates and Messages, both of which could require attention. You know attention is required if you see an exclamation mark.
- Click Updates if it has an exclamation mark next to it. If there is no exclamation mark next to Updates
- From the Updates available section, check the boxes for all the updates, then click Download and install.
- Follow any on-screen instructions.
- Restart your computer.
Also, perform a BIOS and Chipset Update from the HP Website Click here
If the issue persists, create a new user account: Click here
If this does not help, I recommend you contact phone support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
