Hi @2Maddox,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "No boot disk detected" message usually indicates that the system is not detecting a storage device with a bootable operating system. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue on your OMEN Obelisk.

Check BIOS/UEFI Settings

  • Restart the system and enter the BIOS/UEFI by pressing the designated key (usually F10, Esc, Del, or F2) during startup.
  • Ensure that your primary drive (the one with the operating system) is listed under boot devices.
  • Set the drive as the first boot device if it's not already.
  • Confirm that UEFI mode is enabled (if your OS is installed in UEFI mode).

Check Storage Device Connections

  • Power off the system and unplug it.
  • Open the case of the OMEN Obelisk and verify that the SATA or NVMe cables connecting the boot drive (SSD/HDD) to the motherboard are securely plugged in.
  • Ensure the drive itself is seated properly, especially if it's an NVMe drive.

Check Boot Drive Health

  • If you have access to another computer, you could remove the boot drive from the Obelisk and connect it to the other computer to check if it's still functional.
  • Alternatively, if your system has more than one storage device, ensure that the OS drive has not failed.

Run Diagnostics

  • Many HP computers, including the OMEN series, have built-in diagnostics tools. Upon startup, press Esc or F2 to enter diagnostics mode and run tests on the hard drive to check for potential hardware failures.

Check for Loose Components

  • Sometimes, a loose RAM module or other internal components can cause issues. Ensure all internal components are properly seated.

Reinstall/Repair OS

  • If the system still doesn't detect the boot drive, you might need to attempt repairing the OS. Boot from a Windows installation USB or recovery disk and use the Startup Repair tool.
  • If that fails, you may need to reinstall the operating system.

Check for Physical Drive Failure

  • If none of the above steps work, your boot drive may have failed. You may need to replace it and reinstall the operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
