I am trying to re download drivers for my HP dv6 that I previously got from the ftp site.
Apparently, that site is no longer available. Is there a new site where I can get the SP files?

There's no way that I know of.
That's why I use IE where it works fine.
HP did something about a year or so ago that caused most browsers not to be able to open the FTP site.
And if you change the first ftp to https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/
You get this.. 403 Forbidden (hp.com)
But if you change any one of the individual softpaqs in the directory like that, it works just fine.
For example...take the very first file in the list. FTP directory /pub/softpaq/sp0000-0500/ at ftp.hp.com
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp0000-0500/sp0001.zip
So, I can't figure it out.
I suggest that you use whatever works for you.

Hi:
If you use Internet Explorer, you can access the ftp website at the link below.

I have been trying that URL with FF, Chrome, Opera & Edge. All I get is a silence or a popup saying the site wants to open Chrome, then more nothing. I just tried it with Filezilla and it opens instantly.
Is there a secret to opening ftp in these browsers?
Now the server keeps closing the connection.
