How to detect if a device is affected by this vulnerability

The advice following this 'how to' is open the 'Software components' category in 'Device manager' and proceed with steps from there and Right-click HP Device Health Service and select Properties. Unfortunately there is no 'Software Components' category in Device manager in Windows 10.

Elementary mistake but how do we fix the problem?

Are you referring to this Security Bulletin, HP TouchPoint Analytics Execution of Arbitrary Code? If the Windows 10 steps in that document are not working for you, try using the generic Windows OS steps (method 2), they should work regardless of what Windows version you're using.

Method 2
  1. On devices with Microsoft Windows operating system, in the Windows Search menu, type Control Panel.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. In Control Panel, click Programs and then click Uninstall a Program.
  4. On the Programs and Features screen, navigate to HP Touchpoint Analytics Client. Write down the Version. If the Version is lower than 4.1.4.2827, then follow the steps in Method 2 from the Resolution section of this document.
