I own a HP Chromebook laptop that has Windows 11 as the operating system. I am trying to install and run specific use software that is designed for a computer that uses a Windows operating system. The software I want to install and use is a *.exe file. The Chromebook will not allow me (the owner) to install the software I want, and need, to install. How do I gain the ability to install the software I really want to use?

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Would you be so kind as to provide the exact model# of your computer?
Did you install windows 11 on it yourself? From what I have read on This Website, there are only 2 models from HP that have this ability. (the HP Chromebook 14b, HP Chromebook Pro 645 Enterprise)
It also states, "Full functionality is not guaranteed...."
If the computer only runs ChromeOS, you cannot install windows files on it.
