HP Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to ask if there is a way to turn the keyboard and mousepad on on the spectre x360 when it is flipped like a tablet while hdmi is connected to a larger screen. I think it would be a very useful feature.

Thank you!

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Are you inquiring if you can turn off the TouchPad when it is flipped into tablet mode?

You can disable the TouchPad on some model by double tapping the upper left corner of the TouchPad.  You would double tap it again to re-enable it.

You can also disable it in  your settings.  Here is a link to assist you. HP Notebook PCs - Using and Troubleshooting the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 😎 ( this works in Windows 10 also).

If you would like further assistance please provide your exact model of Spectre x360 .

Hi @Sparkles1 and thank you for your answer,

What I am asking is if I can enable the keyboard and the touchpad in tablet mode, since it is disabled by default.

My model is 13-4011nv.

Thank you!

Hi @redgiwrgos,

Thank you for your response and I regret I misunderstood your question the first time.

I do not believe that you can enable the TouchPad and keyboard when in tablet mode as you stated it disables in by default.

You can do the next best thing.

1. Open the laptops screen so that it lays flat so that it is open at 180 degrees.

2. Open the "Project" item in the Action Center. The Action Centre is accessible via its icon shown in the taskbar.

3. Select the option "Second screen only".

The above will disable the screen and leave the keyboard and touchpad enabled.

Cheers

This is what worked for me:

1) Go to Device Manager

2) System devices

3) Intel Integrated Sensor Solution > Properties > Driver

4) Disable Device

5) Reboot

Follow the same procedure but 4) Enable Device, to reverse

You sir, are a genius!

Works even without reboot.
