HP SPECTRE x360 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there a way to have my Spectre x360 15 wake up from sleep by simply opening the lid?

Currently I have to press the power button after opening the lid

@tlal,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

You can wake up the computer using the keyboard or touchpad or by pressing the powering button. There is no option to wake up the computer by opening the lid. However, if the lid closed action is set to “Do nothing”, the system does not wake up by opening the lid.

I would suggest you try to change the lid closed action to another option instead of Do nothing and check if the laptop wakes up automatically after opening the lid.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you turn off hybrid seep and check. Follow the below steps.

a. Press Windows key + X.

b. Click on Power Options.

c. Under your current Plan Settings (Balanced), click on Change Plan Settings.

d. Click on Change advanced power settings.

e. Now under Advanced Power Settings.

f.  Expand Sleep.

g. Click on Allow Hybrid Sleep.

h. Change the Settings to Off.

i. Click on Apply and OK.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
