I need a fix for this too.
I did a CLEAN INSTALL ONLY, on the same Hardrive, and I have not updated bios or anything. Just reinstalled the os to gain back storage space and get rid of all the junk programs installed on laptop.
Went to the HP website, used the scanner tool, let HP choose the correct model(ive doubled checked since then) and i installed the command center.
I get same message, OS not supported.
This is my nephews laptop,i notice he did have a 'windows upate tool'.
Meaning the laptop probably came with W8/W8.1, and got upgaded to 10.
It still work on 10 before the install,so im guessing the orignal install was for 8, and their is some kind of dependencies or something done,so with an upgraded version it works, but a clean install it dosent.
Also the Command Center Software is still Version 1.0,meaning it has never been updated since initial release.
We need to either have a step by step method fix, or a updated version.
Need this going please help.

Long story short for people with refurbished laptops and possibly reinstalled software. I got Windows 10 installed and just followed the HP Support Assistant recommended downloads BIOS and R2D2, then rebooted as recommended. If your SW photos and sounds are present, this means that the software for the SW Command Center should be too. All you have to do is try and find it. Took about 5 mins of random searching different phrases until I found it in the SWSetup file (which honestly, makes total sense lol).
So 2 ways to search for it (copy and paste as appropriate for the file search window):
C:\SWSetup\APP\Applications\HP\StarWarsC_MM6SB2\1.00\src
or
StarWarsCommandCenter
no spaces.
Then just double click on the program file and install! Voila, 2 mins roughly to be able to open the icon from the desktop and no tedious reprogramming was needed. (Or purchased files on DVD's = scam).
Hope this helps!

To: RuleTheGalaxy or anybody who can assist me with my request.
I've looked all over the internet to resolve this issue, but unfortunately the option you've described above seems to be the only way. Now I've got the following issue, I don't have the original image. So I wanted to ask you kindly if you can provide me your image (.iso file) so I can install it on my Star Wars Special Edition laptop.
I would kindly ask you to contact me at (removed content)
Thank you very much in advance, I hope you can assist me here. I would be very grateful!
Kind regards,
Jonathan

As I understand you want an ISO to reimage your OS on the star wars edition,
Here's a link you could utilize to order it online: Click Here
Select your operating system and then look under Order recovery media/DVD/USB
Let me know how that pans out,
I hope you have a good day ahead,

Regarding the answer of HP, would not recommend you buying it since it's just a plain recovery disc of HP Windows. It's not the one for the SW laptop.
So basically; Reinstalling Windows as normal, search Google for some cool icons and desktop wallpapers. Make a backup once your done. That is the best I could think of regarding this issue.
I hoped my answer gave you some insight into a solution.

@RuleTheGalaxy wrote:I went through a process I did NOT want to go through.
- I took the laptop apart (again) and reinstalled the 1000gb slow hard drive.
- Booted the computer up and it took a while - Windows had to automatically check/fix the hard drive. But it booted up and I managed to create a recovery media on a USB stick.
- Next I put the new Samsung 250gb EVO (850) SSD back in the laptop and booted into the USB recovery media I just made.
Here comes the annoying part: I had to reinstall everything. Not just the Star Wars stuff. And it took about seven hours!
After that process had finally finished - I had to get the Windows November update (version 1511) again. It is installing now. (the computer ships with the old version of Windows 10)
The Star Wars content works now. But seriously HP! You make it so difficult to just put in a modern SSD hard drive and have the Star Wars content back and working.
Is there any way to contact with you personally? email would be fine. 🙂
