Hi!
I just bought a Hp Omen nearly 2 weeks ago and I am very very confused as to why I have around 33 GB of storage left. The laptop is 256GB. I installed Treesize to see what was taking up the storage and it turns out that it was Hp apps that came with the laptop. I have gone onto the Hp support website to see what I could do to resolve this and little to nothing has worked. I am unsure what apps I can delete as I am uncertain if they're important or not. If anyone has ideas on how I can resolve this issue, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance 🙂

I would NOT delete any HP apps as they actually take up a very small percentage of the drive space.
Your drive is likely cluttered with the results of Windows Updates -- which does not bother to clean up after itself.
Here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

Finally, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html

Thank you very much for your reply! I have done everything you have suggested, but it didn't seem to have reduced the storage. So, I went to back to the store and they found out I had a virus on my laptop and it was taking up 201GB of space. If I call up Hp support during the weekdays, would they be able to help me with this? Also, is this covered by warranty? Thank you 🙂

My guess, since we're not allowed to provide "official' answers to service questions, is that they might be able to help you -- but it is THEIR call whether or not such assistance is covered under the warranty. If not, they will either charge your for it or refuse to provide it.
