Synaptics Fingerprint

Hello community & especially to HP team When HP will start roll out & update Synaptics Fingerprint

i use HP EliteBook 8460p Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

Hi:

Your notebook is not supported by HP for W10 or W11.

You need this driver for the fingerprint sensor:

Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58900.exe

This driver has a habit of not wanting to automatically install on W10/W11, so if the device remains uninstalled after you run the driver file, this is what you need to do:

Go to the device manager, and click on the unknown device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.   Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp58900.

Make sure that the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
