HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Problem:

I customize my settings under Mouse Properties > ClickPad Settings to e.g. use chiral scrolling. This works fine but as soon as I reboot the machine the setting is not loaded.  So if I want Chiral scrolling after reboot, I have to go to Mouse Properties again. Put differently, my  settings are forgotten every time I reboot.

I believe this is related to this problem: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06523318

Recommended Solution:

The solution to the problem requires installing a Synaptics driver that is 19.5.35.41 (or later).

Why Recommended Solution Does Not Work:

When I go to the HP Driver support (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops) and enter Serial and Product numbers the latest driver I find is below the required driver. See picture below.

I have installed that driver and the problem remains. I am assuming I need to install a more recent driver, but which one?

Thank You.
