Hi Guys

Is it normal for sysinfocap.exe to access or use the webcam?
I had a kaspersky notification that said sysinfocap.exe is using the webcam.
Scanned the computer wirh kaspersky and malwarebytes but no threats. Kaspersky says it has valid hp certificate.
All instances of the exe are located where they should in system32 subfolders.
Is it even possible for such a process to be able to even control the camera as it is primarily an info capture process? Just worried if someone has accessed my webcam and need to know how to go forward.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

May I have the exact name and product number of the unit? Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
