Hi @16-s0094AX,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a color calibration issue with the RGB backlit keyboard on your HP Victus gaming laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
- Update Omen Gaming Hub and Graphics Drivers: Make sure that your Omen Gaming Hub software is up to date. Additionally, check for updates to your graphics drivers. Sometimes, software updates can address compatibility issues.
- Restart Your Laptop: It might sound simple, but restarting your laptop can sometimes resolve minor glitches or conflicts in the system.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Visit the HP support website for your laptop model and check if there are any firmware updates available for your system. Firmware updates can sometimes address hardware-related issues.
- Factory Reset Omen Light Studio: If resetting the Omen Gaming Hub did not resolve the issue, try doing a factory reset on the Omen Light Studio settings. This can usually be found in the settings menu of the Omen Gaming Hub.
- Calibrate Colors in Windows: Go to your Windows settings and check the display settings. You may find color calibration options there. Calibrate the colors to see if it helps resolve the issue.
- Check Hardware Connections: Ensure that there are no loose connections between the keyboard and the laptop. If the RGB lighting is controlled by physical connections, a loose connection might be causing the color mismatch.
- Third-Party Software Interference: Check if there are any third-party applications or software that might be interfering with the Omen Gaming Hub. Sometimes, conflicting software can cause unexpected behavior.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
