the HP support assistant installed is not working. Tried to download a newer version (legacy version) and downloads, but if it is installed I can't get it to run.

I tried downloading an updated version and am not sure it is operating. Do I have to uninstall the original to get the updated version to install? Shouldn't the new version replace the original version automatically?

I get no help or guidance from HP without paying for it!!
