HP Recommended

HP laptop does not open the thinkpad DVD player, though it appears in device manager and shows it works properly. Apparently it is also updated. Instead microsoft store opens with offers to buy a dvd player software.

Looking into this - the thinkpad DVD player is a Lenvo product.  Is this an external (USB connected ) device?

If you are using this as an external device, I would suggest VLC (free DVD player) software instead of purchasing any software.
