Can i use a thunderbolt cable with my HP Laptop 15s-fq2038na? I don't have a year of manufacture but it was purchased new in early 2023.  If not, what other high-speed method of data transfer can I use?

Your PC's USB-C port is not a thunderbolt port.

 

HP only has the service manual for the older 15s-fq0xxx model series.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC

 

Chapter 1 has the available USB port information.

 

The only information I can find online regarding the speed of the USB ports for the 15s-fq2038na is this:
