Omen EN0745NG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I got my new HP Omen yesterday. I immediately noticed that the navigation of the mouse also works in the lower mouse button area. You could deactivate this on my last notebook. This is better for playing, because you can always leave your finger on the left "button" and still move the mouse. I tried to install the current touchpad driver from the HP homepage. However, the installation aborts with error 0x800B0109 and 0x80070570. I dont have the option to activate the touch area function in the Win10 touchpad options and I dont have access to the control panel on the installed Synaptics driver (SynTPEnhService is active). The Omen is a gaming notebook but without this function it is not possible to play without an external mouse. For example, you cannot shoot and move at the same time. Who can help?

@thomasmeyer, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I'd suggest you refer to the document HP Notebook PCs - Using the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 10) under the section Button clicking using a TouchPad or ClickPad to learn how to disable the touch area.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Unfortunately, that doesnt answer my question. It's probably due to my poor English. I don't want to deactivate the ClickPad completely, just the area of the mouse buttons. I have no acces to the settings (Clickpad Settings are not displayed!) and I cannot install a new driver.

Double-tapping the upper-left-hand corner of the TouchPad enables or disables the TouchPad. An amber light illuminates briefly if the computer supports this feature. There might also be an audible sound.

Hope this helps!
