If you are experiencing a touchpad issue with your HP Pavilion x360 15 Convertible PC 15-er1000 where the I2C HID Device is not working and shows error code 10, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Update the BIOS:
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Enter your serial number or product name (HP Pavilion x360 15 Convertible PC 15-er1000).
- Click on Software, Drivers, and Firmware.
- Select your operating system (Microsoft Windows 11) and version, then click Submit.
- Locate the BIOS section and download the latest BIOS update.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install the BIOS update.
Update the Touchpad Driver:
- Go to the Device Manager on your Windows 11 computer.
- In the list, find Human Interface Devices, expand it and locate the I2C HID Device.
- Right-click on the I2C HID Device and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software and let Windows update the driver.
Reinstall the Touchpad Driver:
- If updating the driver does not work, you can try reinstalling it.
- Right-click on the I2C HID Device in Device Manager and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer.
- Windows should automatically reinstall the driver upon reboot.
Check Windows Updates:
- Ensure your system is up to date by running Windows Update.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any available updates.
