Hi @Sanur1945,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with the touchpad on your HP ENVY x360 laptop, and the common solution of double-clicking the top left-hand corner isn't working for you, there are several other potential solutions you can try.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up to date. You can go to the official HP website, locate the drivers section for your laptop model, and download the latest touchpad drivers.

Device Manager Check:

  • Open the Device Manager on your laptop (you can do this by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager").
  • Locate the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices" and right-click on it.
  • Choose "Update driver" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Rollback Drivers:

  • If you recently updated your touchpad drivers and the issue started afterward, you might want to try rolling back the drivers to the previous version.
  • In the Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and choose "Roll Back Driver" if available.

Check Power Management Settings:

  • In the Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad, go to "Properties," and navigate to the "Power Management" tab.
  • Uncheck the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power.

BIOS/UEFI Update:

  • Check if there's a BIOS/UEFI update available for your laptop on the HP support website. Sometimes, updates can address hardware-related issues.

Reset Touchpad Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and reset touchpad settings to default.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure there's no physical damage or debris affecting the touchpad's performance. Clean the touchpad gently with a soft cloth.

Remember to create a backup of your important data before performing any major updates or changes to your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
