I recently noticed that when I start up my laptop, the trackpad does not work. I have to wait about a minute, then suddenly it will start working. I believe this has something to do with the Synaptics enhancements program as I noticed in task manager that as soon as that application starts up, the trackpad starts to work. I was wondering why it does not start up straight away as this is rather fustrating that I cannot use my laptop for the first few minutes. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you do not use the touchpad enhancements disable it.

Search for "Task Scheduler" and open it.

One of the entries in there should be called "Synaptics Touchpad Enhancements".  Right-click and choose disable.
