HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fa-0000 (8Z8P5AV)

My touchpad started not working out of nowhere, and I found that the touchpad driver was missing. I attempted to download touchpad drivers from the HP website, but none appear on the device manager. I have already tried restarting, hard resetting, reinstalling windows, and checking for updates. What else can I do?

@kittysisters, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy x360 touchpad stopped working and the driver is missing, try a few things.

First, open Device Manager and check if the touchpad appears under Mice and other pointing devices. If not, try scanning for hardware changes. You can also manually install the driver by downloading it from the HP website.

Make sure the touchpad is enabled in your BIOS by restarting and pressing F10 to access BIOS settings.

Check the Mouse settings in the Control Panel to ensure the touchpad is enabled.

Refer this guide for further troubleshooting: HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshoot the touchpad | HP® Support

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
