HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (23S36AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have had this HP Pavilion 14 x360 for over 3 years now (came with Windows 11, and haven't changed it) and my touchpad has been having issues for the past 8-9 months. At first it started just by not working sometimes when it was even slightly tilted (it goes into tablet mode), then it slowly started not working when normal (in laptop mode).

I have tried installing many different drivers, new and old from HP's website, but they all either say "The driver is not supported on this OS version (10.6.26100)." or don't make the touchpad work. Now my touchpad has stopped working most of the time, but it'll work randomly around twice a month... (I use my laptop everyday for education and leisure purposes).

I'm fed up of this issue. Thankfully since I have touchscreen it's still somewhat usable, but most of the time I have to carry a mouse to all my lectures, which is really annoying, and an issue I know is avoidable with the right driver.

Have you ever tried using a driver updater tool? You can also install all optional updates, especially those listed under “Driver updates.”
